While fall came partially early in 2025, and happened in phases, so too did winter. The first winter snowfall came early with leaves still on trees, creating some ethereal scenes. The rapidly accumulating snow almost looked like fog in the forest, creating incredible layering and depth. I loved how winter almost seemed to wash away fall, with the last remnants barely visible off in the distance, or clinging to riverbanks. While fall is my favourite season, it’s followed closely by winter!
