Some trees just ooze character, and some species are more characteristic than others. For me, Eastern White Cedar is a really underappreciated tree. I love finding the most incredibly scraggly cedars, some of which (like this one) almost dance in the forest. This is a tree very close to where I live which I’ve just never been able to photograph properly. I’ve known about it for a number of years, and just love its shape and character – it just jumps right out at you when you see it. For this morning I decided to attempt shooting this tree one more time, letting it show its dance moves as it moves around the rising sun. Neat!
