Some trees just find the most interesting spots to take root. I always find trees in spots like this so compelling – as if they’re a reminder of how resilient a tree can be.
To be honest, when I ventured to this spot, I had no idea what would be waiting for me. I keep a database of areas where I think there could be interesting images, and when I find myself near one of those spots, I tend to check it out and see if my guess was right. I had saved this location several years ago, and forgot to describe what I thought would be interesting there. I turned up thinking this would be something completely different, but after only a few minutes of walking around, the subject that initially captured my interest became pretty obvious.
Again, I’m a sucker for trees in spots like this one.
