These wonderfully delicate flowers can make some truly beautiful scenes. While white trilliums are the most common to find, there are often red trilliums mixed into the scenes, adding just the slightest pop of colour and divergence from the main pattern.
Something about these flowers reaching up to catch the first rays of morning light really sticks with me. These flowers really find their footing in spring before the forest canopy drowns out all their light, and boy do they make the most of it. It’s almost as if they know that this moment of light isn’t going to last, so they have to get all they can right now. What a joy to be present for moments like these.
